CloudZoom, July 31, 2012
CloudZoom announces the addition of InstantBox.org (http://www.instantbox.org) virtual appliances to it's virtual appliance marketplace. The CloudZoom marketplace provides a simple, fast, and convenient way to find virtual appliances spanning multiple vendors and hypervisors. CloudZoom combines the silos of unique, vendor specific and hypervisor specific catalogs, into a virtual appliance supermarket.
CloudZoom continues to increase the the number of desktop virtual appliance offerings available for VirtualBox and VMware Player with the listing of InstantBox.org images. In minutes, a user can have a virtual machine up and running with a new operating system and pre-installed applications. Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, part of the LTS (long-term support) series, is the operating system of choice for all InstantBox.org virtual appliances.
The CloudZoom library has over one thousand (1000+) virtual appliances available today, with more on the way. CloudZoom provides a user-friendly interface for browsing and filtering the library of appliances. It is possible to browse or filter by vendor, operating system, software package, or price, helping to quickly find the appliance that meets the user's needs. Each virtual appliance summary page includes, but is not limited to, information on price, operating system, installed software, usernames and passwords, and configured memory and disk sizes.
