Daler Mehndi joins hands with Radio Mantra to educate fans about AIDS

Supporting World AIDS day, King of Bhangra Daler Mehndi has joined hands with Radio Mantra in educating people about AIDS. Mehndi will be spending the day educating the listeners and fans about the myths and truths associated with AIDS. The on-air campaign by Team Mantra will be focused on spreading awareness on AIDS and urging people to stop discrimination towards HIV infected patients.

Supporting ‘Zero discrimination’ and ‘Getting to Zero’ – the official theme for World AIDS Day 2011, Mehndi quoted, “It is time for all of us to come together and act! Discussing about HIV and AIDS has been such a taboo in society, but the key to the prevention of HIV AIDS not only depends on the treatment and care but equally on spreading awareness. Let us all come together, raise awareness about HIV and help put an end to HIV stigma and discrimination.”

‘Ranjah Miyan ChhadDo Yaari, Changi Nahinyoh AIDS Bimari ‘– hums Daler on the spur making an instant parody on his super hit Bhangra Anthem ‘Ho Jayegi Balle Balle’.
