Award Winning Architects in Birmingham nominated for third award in 2011

Lapworth Architects Limited, founded in 1989 is a planning, architectural and interior design practice based in Edgbaston, Birmingham.The practice has a wide client base involved in housing, education, retail, commercial and industrial buildings. It also works on many period buildings and in many Conservation areas, including carrying out grant aided work for Birmingham City Council and English Heritage. The practice is well used to dealing with sites in Conservation areas and endeavouring to ensure high quality designs to preserve and enhance the Conservation area.We have completed a number of successful and award winning schemes in the Midlands region in recent years and a project by this practice is now included in Government’s By Design (CABE) document as an example of good design.Other projects designed by this Practice are included in the good example sections of the Stratford Upon Avon District Councils Conservation Area Design Guide and also in Solihull District Councils Conservation Area Design Guide.A period office building refurbished by this office received a Birmingham City Council Building Regulation Award and a new apartment building in Solihull won a ‘Best Built Award’ in 2007.In 2007 the Practice was awarded a Gold Standard Building for Life Award by Cabe for a large mixed use project completed in Broadway Worcestershire.In 2008 Regional and National Winners of the Green Tree Awards for senstive building in the environment for the Project completed at Lickey Grange.
