Press Release from:
IceNews
Flights to Reykjavik, Iceland have resumed after a two-month winter break. Starting in April Icelandair will be offering daily direct flights to Reykjavik, Iceland from Washington DC. The Icelandic airline company had scaled down operations for the winter months but has this month reinstated its route from Baltimore / Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, or BWI, to Keflavik – the international airport in Iceland.
European travellers can now visit Washington DC with a free stopover in Reykjavik and likewise US passengers can choose one of 18 European destinations,
including London, Paris and Stockholm. The stopover in Reykjavik can be up to 7 nights and gives visitors enough time for either a quick relaxing dip in the Blue Lagoon or an unforgettable trip around Iceland.
BWI aiport is situated only 45 minutes from Washington and a visit there can be combined with Baltimore, a vibrant but undiscovered seaport city in Maryland. The flight takes around 6 hours and leaves daily from Washington at 8.45 pm and from Reykjavik at 4.55 pm. For further details and flight booking, visit icelandair for US travellers and icelandair for UK passengers.
