Walsall developer urges residential market to attract first time buyers - A leading Walsall developer has hit out at the residential property sector for forcing first time buyers and ‘upsizers’ out of the marketplace. David Poyner, Director at David Poyner Homes (DPH), believes escalating house prices could force the industry to implode, as ‘new build’ projects are looking to cash in on rising buying powers and larger mortgages. The entrepreneur is adamant that if the market does not address this issue it could spark a serious missing link in property chains across the Black Country and South Staffordshire. “We have to encourage first time buyers to get on the ladder. Put simply, without them the rest of the market will suffer, from the one-bed apartments offer, right through to the big multi-million pound houses.
