WAKE FOREST, N.C.—TheClassicalStation.org announces today that its weekly program “Preview!” will feature an interview with composer Dr. Allen Anderson and UNC professor of music Dr. Brooks de Wetter-Smith. The interview will air during the station’s Sunday, April 20 program that runs from 6-9 p.m. During the interview, the pair will discuss the April 27 world premiere of "Iceblink" as part of the Sights & Sounds on Sundays concert series at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences.

“This promises to be an intriguing interview with two musicians and academicians that are on

the cutting edge of performance techniques,” says Larry Kirwan, host of “Classical Lunch.” “Their collaborative work, ‘Iceblink,’ with photography, music and narration, is as expansive in scope as the vast Antarctic experience that they are trying to capture.”

"Iceblink" is a 45-minute multimedia presentation employing chamber orchestra music, soprano vocal performances and narration to complement the projection of images captured by Professor de Wetter-Smith during a December 2006 expedition of Antarctica.

“Preview!” is a weekly feature that airs every Sunday evening from 6 p.m.–9 p.m. ET and presents the latest in classical recordings and upcoming classical events. WCPE’s live broadcast of Great Classical Music 24, Hours a Day can be accessed around the globe in several ways: on-line streaming in multiple formats, including IPv6; local cable television systems; and traditional radio broadcasting. A complete list of the ways WCPE is available with instructions for cable and satellite reception can be found at theClassicalStation.org/listen.
