Vosseler Fly Tying Vice wins red dot design award 2007

The Vosseler Tying Vice "Unique" receives "red dot" for superior design quality. For its outstanding design the tying vice by Vosseler Pro-Flyfishing has now received one of the most coveted design prizes worldwide: the ‘red dot’. This quality seal for good design is awarded annually in the international ‘red dot design award’ competition by a jury of experts and only goes to products with a particularly sophisticated and innovative design.

A suction-cup base holds this vice safely even on smooth surfaces. Once the base is fixed, the Vosseler tying vice can be rotated from

five axis points. The patented jaws securely hold the hook on four sides, allowing for ample lateral thread tension. Crafted from surgical steel and high-grade aluminium, the Vosseler tying vice is as tough as it is versatile. Use it on the dining table without leaving a mark, stick it to the side of your truck for some evening tying in camp, or secure it to the casting platform of a flats boat.

The product assessment is carried out by an international jury of renowned design experts. They examine and test the products and assess them according to criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality, ergonomics, durability, ecological compatibility and clarity of function. This year, companies from 43 countries with a total of 2,548 products faced the jury’s verdict.
