Symbio Technologies
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y.-- Symbio Technologies, Inc. (www.symbio-technologies.com), an innovator in security-centric stateless computing, has been selected by JETRO, the Japanese External Trade Organization, to participate in CEATEC Japan 2007, Asia's largest technology industry event, October 2-4 in Chiba.
Symbio Technologies is one of 12 North American companies selected to participate in this Asian event. JETRO (www.jetro.org) will facilitate pre-arranged meetings with Japanese distributors, government agencies and resellers. Symbio COO Roger Del Russo and Peter Tierney, managing
director of World Technology Corporation of New York City, an export management and international business developer, will be on-site.
Mr. Del Russo said Symbio was chosen for its "expertise and innovation in secure, thin-client computing, including Symbiont Certified Network Terminals -- simple, stateless devices that connect to a network in place of complex PCs, and the Symbiont Boot Appliance, which powers, connects, and manages the terminals. Our server- and security-centric computing solution is far more secure than old-fashioned, PC-based networks because there is never any data on the desktop," he said. "Being at CEATEC with JETRO gives Symbio excellent exposure to the Japanese government and reseller marketplaces. As information security is one of the fastest growing sectors in Japan, with more than $6 billion spent on safeguarding information in 2006, Symbio's products are a natural fit," he said.
