Sudoku goes 3D With Sudoku-Ball(r) - In less than 2 years time Sudoku has taken the number one position in the world of brain teasing puzzles and has become a global multimillion dollar business. The Dutch inventor Hans van Briemen studied what he calls "the beautiful isomorphism of magic squares and geometric shapes" and together with Marcel Lennartz of Lensoft International his company developed the 3D Sudoku-Ball(R) with a so called "closed Samurai Sudoku network grid." The result is a new 3D sudoku puzzle phenomenon that can now be played on the internet and is expected to keep players busy for many challenging and exciting hours. Hans van Briemen: "what has begun as a unique idea has eventually cost us month of development and mathematical struggle, but we are glad with this first result. Initial feedback from our Beta testers is excellent" Besides the online version that can be played on any operating system that supports Java, the company is planning the production and marketing of real PVC Sudoku-Balls together with partners in Mexico and Europe.
