Press Release from:
Jeff Mahaffey
First, blurry... then, unrecognizable... finally, gone. That is what happens to the familiar faces of family and friends that suffer from the leading cause of blindness in the United States. For the 76 million baby boomers born in the U.S. between 1946 and 1964, the fear of facing permanent vision loss due to Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is very real. In a recent article published by the AMD Alliance International (AMDAI) shows that the impact of vision loss due to age related macular degeneration (AMD) on patients’ quality of life and psychological well being is comparable to that

of cancer or coronary heart disease. This publication also shows that diagnosis of AMD and the threat of blindness increases severe depression and risk of suicide.

In a study conducted with the help of a Retina Surgeon and Macular Degeneration Specialist from the UAB Callahan Eye Foundation Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, a breakthrough new supplement -- Macular Health -- was developed to fight AMD. Patients were placed on this new supplement for twelve weeks. Subjects showed definitive vision improvement. Many of the patients in the study had a 16% improvement in retina function and regained as many as 1-3 lines on the eye chart

The American Academy of Ophthalmology recognized this study as the first documenting improvement in eye health in patients with AMD The MERG (Multifocal Electroretinogram) was used to gauge the overall health of the Macula before and after using the Macular Health eye supplement. “I believe Macular Health is the best product available. This is the first time in my career I’ve seen patients with better vision,” says John O. Mason, III, M.D. a Birmingham, Alabama eye surgeon who has been treating AMD patients for more than 14 years.

AMD patient Mr. Dill comments since starting the Macular Health Supplement, he has regained some of his lost vision. Mrs. Dill stated, “We’ve been so impressed with the results of the Macular Health supplement that I made copies of the information and have been distributing it to all of our friends and relatives.” Another AMD patient Barney Headley states, “I would highly recommend Macular Health to anyone who has AMD. It has been nothing short of a miracle and I can now see to read small print and also drive my car again”.
