Senior Hopkins delegation to visit Tawam Hospital for medical symposium - January 22, 2007 Tawam Hospital, the UAE and Gulf region’s premier healthcare provider, will host a high level delegation of visiting Otolaryngologists during a one day medical education symposium on January 23, 2007. The delegation, comprised of experts from Johns Hopkins Medicine, will visit the Al-Ain based medical facility to give medical lectures regarding the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose, throat, head and neck disorders. The 469-bed Tawam Hospital is the Middle East’s first medical facility with affiliation to Johns Hopkins Medicine and is preferred for the specialist treatment it offers, particularly in oncology, family medicine, fertility services and intensive care. The symposium is the latest initiative from Tawam Hospital directed at increasing the number of specialties it can offer through its affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine, the globally renowned health care provider based in Baltimore in the United States. The symposium will be held only days before the Arab Health conference and exhibition, expected to attract a consortium of international medical industry experts when it is held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from January 29 – February 1.
