Fix any loose items. Make sure that the bilge is empty, dry and clean. Clean the carpets and flooring. Clean the storage space up to reflect more space. Take the sheets and linen home and run them through the washing machine, renew if worn too much, (a little cost spent now makes all the difference) Rub down and touch up the rust patches on the engine. Change the engine oil and filter. Clean up

the batteries and battery terminals. Make sure that the flares and extinguishers are in working order.

Get some air fresheners and spread them around, If she is a traditional wooden boat, varnish or paint makes the boat attractive. Make sure that the galley is spotless and store away the pots and pans. If you have curtains, wash them and re-hang. Make sure that you get rid of all stains.

Outside, clean up the topsides and deck. Polish the winches. Rub down, bleach and touch up varnish. Clean the fenders, ladder, deck mop handle and boat hook. Invest in a new ensign!

If she is ashore, put on fresh antifouling and clean and shine the prop. Make sure the boat is secure. Make sure that your potential buyers can get aboard safely.

Boats left for a period anywhere soon accumulate a covering of dirt. Make sure boat is very clean before viewing.

If taking photographs of your boat, A couple of items (flowers water jug and glass on table,) will show the saloon to its best potential. A few cushions, charts, books but most of all clean & tidy etc will all add to the impression.
