Salt buckets to market your lawn care business

In the Gopher Lawn Care Business forum we recently had a discussion on how to market your snow plow services to customers. Tony from AMW-Graphics sent this great lawn care business marketing idea to me and I wanted to share it with everyone.

He created customized buckets of salt for a client who is handing them out to his current customers. On each bucket you can have your business name and then possibly have the bucket say call to refill. You could also sell them or give them away to homes in your area to help promote your lawn care business. As you can imagine, if you live in a

colder climate, these items would really come in handy and can you imagine how much you would stand out if you dropped off a free bucket of salt for all your neighbors in the area!

When I asked Tony how much would such buckets cost, he told me “In this case he is giving them to his current clients. You could sell it, or give them out for marketing.
The price is really dependent on the number ordered, but let for informational sake let say: (15) 5gal $3.25 each or (30) 5 gal $3.00 each.

When you think about how much time it takes you to go out and walk a certain area to hang out door hangers and how few of them get read, this idea of giving out customized buckets of salt may prove to be more effective.
