‘Round Table’ look to raise £10k for Breakthrough Breast Cancer - 20 Wolverhampton businessmen swapped their grey suits and ties for Marks and Spencer’s pink bras last night, when they officially launched their new fundraising campaign for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The Wolverhampton Round Table (WRT), which is one of the longest established organisations of its type in the UK, has set its sights on raising £10,000 for the Charity through a special auction, high-profile ‘Summer Ball’ and the chance to win a £23k car on the roll of a dice. “We are delighted to be throwing our support behind such a worthwhile cause and, with the help of local people and companies, genuinely believe we can surpass the target set,” explained Daryl Seivewright, Chairman of WRT. “There will be lots of highlights during the action packed evening, which will feature champagne reception, three course meal and top quality entertainment from leading band the ‘Funkadelics’.” He continued: “The car ‘give away’ is the first time anything like this has ever been done, with Benham BMW generously agreeing to provide a 1 Series for any guest who can get all sixes from rolling seven dices.
