Portland Open Studios 2007 is your chance to see the whole picture of making art. Enter a studio, which can be a store front, an elaborate outbuilding surrounded by a luxurious garden or a more modest space inside a home or garage, to see a window into the creative mind at work. Once inside, artists will
share with you the secrets of their art--the materials, the tools, the techniques and the ideas that contribute to the creation of paintings, prints, sculptures, textiles, glass, ceramics, and photography. Finished works, brand new and from older series complete the picture.
Where: 98 art studios throughout metropolitan Portland. There isn’t a better way to discover the vitality of Portland than to visit the studios scattered throughout all the neighborhoods. Discover your own neighborhood and explore new ones. Cost: $15 Tour Guide admits two adults all days (kids free).
