Carson, Calif, April 08, 2008 -- OWIKits Inc announced today that it will be exhibiting the award-winning RobotiKitsTM line of products at the Museum Store Association Retail Conference & Expo on April 13-14, 2008 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida. Attendees are invited to visit OWIKit at Booth #239 to see and play with the latest OWI® Mini-Solar RobotiKits, the Robotic Arm Edge and the beautifully engineered Aluminum Bug kits. These new offerings join OWIKit’s extensive line of innovative robot kits.
“Our Mini-Solar kits and RobotiKits are creative,
educational products that teach the basics of robotics, electronics, and alternative energy. The kits come in four levels of difficulty and are suitable for ages nine and older. Kids have fun building racecars, Viking ships and more while they gain a better understanding of basic scientific principles. The combination of education, entertainment and a competitive price point makes these kits the perfect retail choice,” remarked Craig Morioka, President of OwiKit®.
The company will be displaying many new products that will be available in April 2008: Robotic Arm Edge The Robotic Arm Edge is the newest version of the award winning Robotic Arm Trainer. Now users can command the gripper to open and close or rotate in a variety of base, elbow or wrist type directions. The Arm can lift and carry up to 100 grams of weight. Five gearboxes, joints and motors power this unique product. Also included is an innovative search light design on the gripper and an audible safety gear indicator is included on all five-gear boxes to prevent any potential injury or gear breakage during operation. Designed for ages 10 and up, “The Robotic Arm Edge” is for future engineers with Intermediate Experience at an SRP of $53.95. Kits for Every Experience Level The Jr. Science Experience kits are for first time users with little or no experience and a great place to start your exploration of robots. The Beginner Experience kits require basic assembly using fine motor skills and household tools; the Intermediate Experience kits are recommended for experimenters with some experience in kit assembly. The Advanced Experience is for the experimenter with some soldering experience and more advanced mechanical assembly. Whichever kit is selected, OWIKits introduce the principles of robotics in a fun, easy to understand method.
