New Golf Sling Shot’s from Layerco.com Has The USGA Watching. - When Poly Max Sling Shots hit the market in 2006, it introduced a frenzy of controversy plus confusion as to its validity as a legal product to use during regular play, we’ve always stood by our believe that if a product decreases a balls compression at impact it would be considered a non enhancing product therefore legal for play on your driver face. On September 29 2006 the USGA took the liberty of directing us to pull and re-label all of our sling shot products in the market place and redesign our packaging labels to comply with there suggested recommendations, which we did.
The real problem facing the USGA is that our product is clear and hard to detect once its on your driver face, Layerco has no plans on tinting the Poly Max now or in the future to make it noticeable to all players & opponents, which raises the question, who’s using it where and when. Sales of Sling Shots have increased as players are discovering the ease of enhancing their conforming clubs without spending a fortune on a non-conforming driver. Sling Shots are so convenient you can literally place it on your driver at a par four or five without no one noticing.
