intelliDRILL – New Generation of Intelligent Drilling Heads - Following its success with the analog UHP20, SCANLAB again raises standards in laser drilling by introducing the intelliDRILL 20 to the market, result of innovations and advancements in digital servo control technology. As opposed to analog drilling heads of conventional servo technology, the settling time of the digitally controlled intelliDRILL series will not keep rising linearly with the increasing pitches, but turns into a square-root-function by the digital servo control algorithms. It turns the intelliDRILLâ series into a top sprinter in its aperture class, capable of up to 2 kHz precise positioning over short pitches of e.g. 1 mm, and also into a superior step-scanner, which particularly excels in shortening the travel time between vias over long distances.
