NEW BRANCH MANAGER AT PICKLES AUCTIONS

North Queensland’s leading Automotive Auctioneers; Pickles Auctions in Townsville, welcomes Grant Barrie to the role of Branch Manager to replace Ewen Jones, who has moved into the Real Estate Industry.

Grant, who has been the Truck and Machinery Manager at Pickles for the past two years, is very excited to step up into the role of Branch Manager.

“I am very excited to be the new Branch Manager, it is a great opportunity to expand on the success I have had with the Truck and Machinery part of the business and I’m looking forward to also growing the Motor

Vehicle, Damaged Vehicle and valuations side of the business in the region further,” said Grant. “I would also like to acknowledge Ewen Jones for the great job he did as Branch Manager.”

Grant brings to the role 16 years Hospitality and Management experience, which he believes is crucial to managing staff, vendors and buyers, and the overall auction business.

More recently, Grant was the Truck and Machinery Manager at Pickles Auctions, where he grew the auction from a 13-lot sale to an 80+ lot sale each month. Grant wants to continue this growth further and capitalise on the mining industry boom in Queensland by providing specialised on-site valuation service for re-financing mining equipment.

“In the last couple of years I have gained a great understanding of the auction and valuations industry and believe the growth area for our business is in valuing specialised equipment,” said Grant.

“Pickles has more than 40 years valuation experience and the mining boom is a great opportunity for us to value equipment that no-one wants to or can value.”
