Solution Lets Operators Strategically Plan Their Network Evolution. Mentum® announced today it will be demonstrating its new Long Term Evolution (LTE) planning capabilities for Mentum Planet® at its booth during CTIA Wireless 2008 in Las Vegas. The new capabilities for the 3GPP 4G LTE standard build on Mentum’s existing market-leading RF planning and optimization software, allowing the company to support its customers’ network migrations from 2G to 4G regardless of technology path.

While the first commercial LTE deployments are expected to happen next year or later, network operators — and the equipment vendors and system integrators they employ — need RF planning solutions to evaluate their 4G technology options. Mentum Planet, with its strong GIS foundation, propagation accuracy and support for WiMAX and LTE, will enable strategic planning efforts based on technology comparisons, CAPEX planning and nominal designs. Mentum is demonstrating Mentum Planet for LTE at CTIA Wireless 2008 in Las Vegas, stand 3656 in Hall C4/C5.
