Limited Brands Logistics Services, the transportation arm of specialty retailer, Limited Brands, has named MOL its 2007 “Ocean Carrier Service Provider of the Year.” This is the second year in a row that Limited Brands Logistics has honoured MOL with this distinguished award. The company's principal brands include Victoria's Secret, Pink (Victoria's Secret), La Senza, Bath & Body Works, C. O. Bigelow, The White Barn Candle Company, and Henri Bendel. As of February 2, 2008, Limited Brands operated nearly 3,000 retail stores throughout the United States and Canada.

Provider award is presented annually to the ocean carrier whose supply chain innovations best support the achievement of Limited Brands’ goals. According to John Joseph, Senior Manager of International Transportation for Limited Brands Logistics, MOL received excellent ratings in all key areas, including: • Customer Service • Contract and Administrative Execution • Strategic support of key programs and initiatives

“MOL really stepped up to the plate, offering tactical support of strategic programs and initiatives in virtually all key volume lanes during peak season throughout Hong Kong, South and North China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Cambodia, and points in Europe. In addition, MOL took on a new lane (Sri Lanka) when we had challenges - all without rolling a single container and performing up to our agreed upon delivery standards during all peak periods,” said Joseph.

In addition to the Service Provider of the year award, Steve Ryan, MOL’s Vice President of Customer Service also received Limited Brands “Power of One” award, presented to the individual whose customer service efforts “rise above and beyond (their) peers in providing best in class service to their customers.”

According to Ryan,“It was an honor being acknowledged as the Limited's "Power of One" winner, but it was not without help from a number of people in the MOL organization. MOL being named the Limited's Ocean Carrier Service Provider of the Year is a testament to the hard work of everyone involved.”
