Let the "Good Times" Roll in Daytona Beach

BAM Enterprises is pleased to announce actress Bern Nadette Stanis has accepted an invitation to appear at the First Annual Baby Boomer Girlfriends Retreat in Daytona Beach, FL. The ‘80s teenage heart throb is best known for her role as Thelma on the TV sitcom, Good Times. “I am honored to have Bern Nadette join us at the Retreat,” says event organizer and fellow baby boomer Beverly Mahone. “She looks as good as she did 20 years ago and is a fabulous example of what it means to age gracefully!” Stanis and Mahone met recently at a book signing event in Atlanta and Mahone says

The actress will join hundreds of women from around the country as they converge on Daytona Beach April 18-20, 2008 for what is being called the “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now!” Baby Boomer Girlfriends’ Weekend Retreat. “This trail-blazing event is being created to offer mature women a total empowerment experience,” says Mahone. “After 40, our needs, wants and desires change. This is the weekend where women can throw caution to the wind and do something just for us.”

The author of Whatever! A Baby Boomer’s Journey Into Middle Age says the weekend will be filled with lots of activities including the filming of a Baby Boomers in the New Millennium Town Hall Meeting by a local television station, a fashion show, karaoke and dance contests. There will also be workshops on topics such as Shifting your Career Gears, Fabulously Fit after Forty; Love & Relationships; Money Matters; Time Management; Doing it “Diva Style” Image Consulting, Down-sizing your life; The Sandwich Generation of Care Takers, etc.
