collection ranged from bespoke designer bags and clutch bags to unique and distinctive belts, wallets, purses and mobile phone holders.
Sarah Balmforth, Head of Operations said, “The evening was a great success and was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. Applied Language are always seeking out new ways to support local charities and give back to the local community and this event was the perfect way to do both. And of the course, the girls are always looking for an excuse to buy new bags and jewellery.”
The event also opened the Applied Language doors to other local businesses. These included kitten heels; the Huddersfield based clothes and shoes shop and Handmade by Lisa; a local business which sells original handmade cards for all occasions. The Red Lion pub also generously donated a meal for two to the raffle which was included in the fundraising total.

The total money raised will help The Forget Me Not Trust reach their £3 million target. The charity’s aim is to build a children’s respite centre and hospice in West Yorkshire which will provide specialist respite, emergency, palliative and terminal care to children with life-limiting and life threatening illnesses and act as support for the children’s families.
They are the proud winners of the prestigious ’AXA Small to Medium Sized Business of the year Award’ and the HSBC Start-up Star Awards in 2006. Most Recently Chief Executive Gavin Wheeldon won the Institute of Directors (IoD) Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2007.
