Intrago Corporation, an electric vehicle systems company, today announced its selection by AlwaysOn as a GoingGreen 100 Top Private Companies Award nominee for 2008. The second-annual elite GoingGreen 100 list is compiled by the AlwaysOn editorial panel. To be eligible for the GoingGreen 100 list, companies must be peer-nominated, with AlwaysOn receiving hundreds of nominations from venture investors, investment bankers and other industry experts. "The AlwaysOn GoingGreen 100 companies will accelerate the global movement to a more sustainable environment," said Tony Perkins, founder and
editor of AlwaysOn. "The ideas and innovation we see as we review hundreds of clean technology companies will be foundational to the next wave of economic growth in California and beyond. These are the companies which we predict will have the greatest market traction, strongest innovation and most game-changing approaches this year."
Intrago's Local Vehicle On Demand technology offers a simple and efficient way to obtain right-sized, zero-emission vehicles for short trips. Intrago's proprietary, patent-pending system allows a customer to choose any available vehicle secured at any charging station, unlock the vehicle of their choice with a single 'key' right at the vehicle, and immediately ride away. "Intrago technology enables automated locking, charging and rental of small electric vehicles such as electric bicycles, scooters, Segways and even small electric cars," said David Goldschmidt, Chief Marketing and Operating Officer, Intrago Corporation. "Our markets for Intrago personal electric vehicle systems include university and corporate campuses, transit links, urban communities and resort and leisure destinations, among others." "It is a great honor for Intrago to be recognized by AlwaysOn's editors, and be included with other emerging leaders in clean tech," Goldschmidt said. The GoingGreen 100 Top Private Companies Award winners for 2008 will be honored at AlwaysOn's GoingGreen Conference, to be held in San Francisco in September. AlwaysOn GoingGreen is a two- and- a- half- day executive gathering that highlights the significant impact clean technologies have on new economic growth and in sustainable use of natural resources. AlwaysOn GoingGreen features the most innovative companies, eminent technologists, influential investors and journalists in keynote presentations, panel debates and private company CEO showcases. The goal of the conference is to identify the most promising entrepreneurial opportunities and investments in the clean tech industry.
