Inteligensa launches Multi-Use Solutions for Secure Authentication

Inteligensa, a specialist in the development and implementation of payment and identification systems, will launch at Cards2007—Latin America’s premier forum for smart cards and payment methods--new token and display card authentication solutions, as well as contact-less payment solutions.
For the mobile communications sector, the company presents its new line of SIM cards, which include a suite of applications and services for secure m-banking transactions, as well as mobile services requiring secure authentication. With their entry into the GSM market Inteligensa looks to parallel

the growing demand for value-added services, transforming the perceived value of the end-user and increasing the number of services available to those users.
"We create personalized solutions for providers looking to increase the array of secure services they can offer, says Filipe Mello, General Manager of Inteligensa Brazil. We also are promoting, through these solutions, the long-awaited passage of the m-payment from test phase to mass market share".

For the authentication market, Inteligensa partners with nCryptone to launch iDOT--Dual Output Token, an authenticator that can offer multiple authentication options from a single device. IDOT generates a dynamic password, valid for one time only, (a “One Time Password”), which can then be transmitted via a numeric display, an audio signal, or even RFID (radio waves). It's a multi-use authenticator with the potential to securely operate on any of the channels available to the end user. This new product arrives on the world market at a crucial moment in the call for reliable high security solutions.
"Currently authentication devices are associated with or restricted to a specific use, and are not adaptable to the diverse purposes and services offered to users", states Mello. "The variety of access channels and the necessity for user authentication independent of the channel demanded an authenticator that could effectively operate on any device, such as phones, computers or PDAs, among others", he adds.
IDOT combines nCryptone's expertise in authentication systems with Inteligensa's knowledge of large-scale payment and identification systems. Easy to use and elegantly designed, IDOT can guarantee a high level of security as its personalization of passwords is done via a SIM-format Smart card.
