ITFA in Singapore: Simbu and Trisha may not attend!

At the press conference held in Singapore on July 9, 2007 for the launch of 75 years of Tamil Cinema Celebrations, actor Simbu said that he may not be able to make it to this year’s inaugural function of International Tamil Film Awards 2007 (ITFA) show in Singapore. Actor Simbu, in the first Press Meet for Tamil Cinema Platinum Jubilee Celebrations held at Ritz Carlton Hotel on July 09, 2007, said that his presence at the Inaugural function of International Tamil Film Awards 2007 (ITFA) in Singapore on 14th July, 2007 is doubtful. The actor said that on account of his busy shooting schedule

he that may not be able to attend the Inaugural function of ITFA 2007. However, the actor reiterated that if the producers allow him a time off he would definitely attend ITFA. Other reliable sources say that actress Trisha too will not be attending the ITFA show due to shooting schedules in Hyderabad during that period.

The International Tamil Film Awards 2007 (ITFA) is a prestigious awards ceremony which brings together talented actors from across the globe to congregate in Singapore for an exhilarating event. ITFA 2007 was instituted to raise consciousness of south Indian culture through the universal language of films and also to appreciate and honor celebrities who have contributed toward the success of the Tamil film industry at the international level. Starting from 14th July, 2007, Singapore will see the crème de la crème of South Indian film industry gather together for a period of 3 days at the ITFA 2007 show. It looks like this year’s ITFA show will lack luster as many stars are backing out on account of busy schedules and the Mega 75 years of Tamil Cinema festival. Seems like many Indians may have to choose between the ITFA show from August 14th and the Tamil Cinema Platinum Jubilee Celebrations from August 6th to 11th, 2007.
