Holidays with HoliGays to the Holy Land - The First Gay Promotional Trip to Israel Right after the ITB Berlin in March 2007, full of enthusiasm, Rami Gertler and David Levy, the HoliGays team started to enroll participants for the first gay promotional trip to Israel supported by the El Al branch in Germany and the Israeli Tourist Board in Berlin, and the Hotels (Dan, Prima and Top) which have shown in this process their belief in gay tourism to Israel, also to other parties such as restaurants, clubs, lecturers and all others who accompanied the group and contributed to its success. It was not that easy to convince potential partners for such a mission, but nothing could stand in the way of their will, enthusiasm and inspiration about gay and lesbian tourism. Surprising to learn and experience how vivid Tel Aviv's gay night life scene is. 18 leading German /Austrian gay journalists, (Mate, Sergej, Hinnerk, Spartacus Traveler, GIB, Pride Radio), travel agents and "pink marketing" companies accepted and came during the Pride Week in Tel Aviv, between June 5-11. Besides culture, history, unique landscapes, and world heritage sites, they were introduced to the diverse society in Israel in general and to the gay & lesbian community in particular.

for such a mission, but nothing could stand in the way of their will, enthusiasm and inspiration about gay and lesbian tourism.

Focussing the international gay market Holigays has focused in this trip on the German-Austrian market. But they have further plans for the gay and lesbian communities from all around the world. The next promotional trip will welcome decision makers, tour agents and operators dealing with the lesbian community. The Holigays crew has shown that Israel as a country, and Tel-Aviv as a vibrant, independent metropolis, are the next destination for gay tourism from all over the globe. Culture, sea, sun and fun are the treasures that we would love to share with our guests while visiting Israel.
