Lleyton Hewitt has joined a handful of global athletes to be immortalized in song. The New York-based cult-pop band “Binge” – known for their rock songs musing the talents and abilities tennis players such as Anna Kournikova, Maria Sharapova, Roger Federer, Andy Roddick and Rafael Nadal - have just completed their latest song “C’mon Lleyton Hewitt.” The song will soon be available at www.tennistunes.com and will part of the band’s tennis themed CD scheduled for release later this year.

“We saw Lleyton play in New York last September and were inspired by his

intensity and ability to hang tough in difficult situations. His competitiveness and on-court tenacity inspired the drive of this song,” said John Macom, singer and song-writer for Binge. “We believe real tennis fans will get a kick out of this song and also turn on some radio listeners to the great sport of tennis. We hope Lleyton likes the song - and isn't offended - and wish him the best of luck at the Australian Open.”

Binge, led by lead singer John Macom, is a smashed up pop-rock band from Hoboken, N.J., that has had songs featured on popular American television shows Dawson's Creek, Felicity, American Embassy and Party of Five. Macom and the band are probably best known for their original underground hit “Anna Kournikova”, the feature song on the E! True Hollywood Story of the same name. Inspired by the success of "Anna" and his love for the sport of tennis, Macom, along with Brooklyn's Joe Titone, have written follow-up songs "Grand Slam Man" about Roger Federer, "It's Andy Roddick" about the American standout and "Maria Sharapova", among others that will appear on a compilation CD in 2007. The band has been featured in such media outlets as CBS-TV during the US Open tennis telecasts, ESPN2, Fox Sport Net’s “Best Damn Sports Show Period,” the NY Post’s famed “Page Six” column as well as many other news outlets around the world.

An electronic (mp3) version of the song or interview requests for Macom can by arranged on request. Lyrics are listed below.

C'mon Lleyton Hewitt

Drifting, falling forward
Picking up the pieces
Stepping up the action
Everywhere you go

C'mon C'mon C'mon Lleyton Hewitt
C'mon C'mon C'mon you can do it
C'mon C'mon C'mon put your rally cap on

Faces painted in your country's colors
And you're like no other when you're fighting for each point

C'mon C'mon C'mon Lleyton Hewitt
C'mon C'mon C'mon you can do it
C'mon C'mon C'mon put your rally cap on

Intensify, don't change your mind (don't change your mind)
Intensify, don't change your mind (don't change your mind)
Intensify, don't change your mind … C'mon!

All they wanted for you
Was to be immortal
Taking the fight to them
Everywhere you go

C'mon C'mon C'mon Lleyton Hewitt
C'mon C'mon C'mon you can do it
C'mon C'mon C'mon put your rally cap on
