Halloween More Popular Than St. Valentine's Day - Halloween is now more popular than St. Valentine's Day, according to a survey conducted on behalf of Durham-based Moon Costumes. The study into the popularity of occasions was based on spending habits and the scope of appeal of each festival, seeing Halloween come out on top of the secular festivals. The study found that amongst children, Halloween was seen to be the number one secular festival of the year, beating its closest competitor St.Valentine's Day on the grounds of its broader appeal.
