Halloween: Do Sexy Costumes Equal Sexy Activities?

Press Release from:

There was a good deal of press about the increase in sales for sexy Halloween costumes this year. The popularity of schoolgirl skirts, sexy bunny costumes, skimpy pirate outfits and the ubiquitous naughty nurse costume prompted one company, Wicked Temptations.com, to conduct research regarding what these costumes were actually used for.
In the weeks leading up to Halloween, Wicked Temptations asked its customers how they anticipated spending the holiday. Out of over 1300 people polled, 20% were looking forward to “a schoolgirl costume, whipped cream and a cheap haunted
house.” “A house party, two mysterious masked vampires and a pool table” followed closely with a quarter of the votes. Other choices included references to pirate costumes, wearing a corset in a graveyard and going clubbing in a witch costumes (go to http://www.wickedtemptations.com/wicked-polls-one.html to see the full poll results). Only 8% of voters expected to spend their Halloween night with “all of the leftover candy and ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,’” and a mere 2% anticipated utilizing “eggs and toilet paper” for their Halloween festivities.
On November 1st, Wicked Temptations asked customers to confess to how their Halloween had actually played out in their After Halloween Poll. Although 17% of customers enjoyed a sexy house party and 11% realized their schoolgirl fantasy, a whopping 28% reported celebrating with leftover candy and the Peanuts classic. It’s possible that these customers were recovering from Halloween weekend, which traditionally involves copious amounts of partying, alcohol and sexy hijinks. However, a wildcard new option was added to the After Halloween Poll: 18% of customers chose “I don’t remember,” suggesting that their Halloween was either unbelievably wild or incredibly boring.
