Glitnir Bank Steps Up Norwegian Banking Operations - Nordic bank Glitnir launched its main Norwegian marketing campaign today following a string of acquisitions and rebranding exercises in Norway. Glitnir Bank has unveiled its marketing strategy for Norway which it hopes will woo Norwegian business customers in key areas such as seafood, shipping and sustainable energy. Adverts are appearing in national business publications and websites such as Dagens Naeringsliv (DN) and Finansavisen, and also in Sunnmørsposten, the local newspaper for the target fishing / shipping town of Aalesund. Glitnir first appeared on the Norwegian finance scene in 2004 and since then has grown rapidly with its acquisitions of BNbank, Kredittbanken, Norse Securities and FactoNor, amongst other ventures. It has recently rebranded them and is using the current marketing drive to bring all the various strands together under Glitnir’s red and white banner.
