OMFICA
OMFICA.org, a web-based non-profit organization registered in UK, has developed and introduced totally new web crawling technology which is based on combination of open source programming, human input based standardized web content description language and an open democratic/ electoral administrative structure.
The overall concept assumes encouraging millions of advanced internet users to contribute some of their time and computer resources to creating massive library of standardized and well structured information about web sites (URLs, pages, HTML structure, and thematic content
etc.). OMFICA.org promotes so-called Internet Content Description Language (ICDL) a new standard for web site creators to describe web page structure and content specifically for web crawlers and search engines. These data received in the forms of ICDL standard files are kept in ICPR (Internet Content Parse Results) Storages and if used by general and thematic search engines will provide faster and much more accurate internet search results. ICDL is announced to be fully compatible with Semantic Web concepts defined by W3C.
OMFICA.org declares its mission as setting-up an instrument to provide equal opportunities and promote fair and competitive web search and search relevant services market. In fact, if ambitious plans of this organization succeed and IT community adapts the idea and approach, the overall situation in the search engine and adjacent markets will be drastically changed and some of existing leaders may find their dominant positions endangered…So, may be it’s time to sell Google shares?
