ProDisplay Middle East has installed and supplied the Kingdom’s first LED perimeter advertising screen system to Sella Sports Company.
The launch was at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Cup Final on Friday
9th February 2007.
SMD technology was chosen for the system allowing flexibility in the design of the system, high brightness and 140 degree viewing angle (both horizontal and vertical) giving both the spectators and TV cameras the optimum advertising exposure. 245m of modules were used at the game and each module at 1.024m high.
ProDisplay Middle East offers a diverse
First Perimeter Advertising System Saudi Arabia
range of screen solutions designed to full fill our clients' every need. We represent ProDisplay™ throughout the entire Middle East.
Based in United Kingdom, ProDisplay’s engineers have been designing and developing innovative display products and solutions for over 17 years. The team were involved in the development of the first full color LED screens in the early 1990’s.
Over the last 7 years the concentration has been on the design and development of a number of cost effective ‘high gain’ screen solutions that will work in high ambient light conditions.
This has included development work with a number of new technologies such as plasma PDP panels and liquid crystal displays, but the focus has been on projection screen materials.
The system was also recently used in the Hilal vs. Ittihad match in the King Fahd Stadium Riyadh, and will be a main fixture at most matches throughout the 2007 season. The system is quite unique in that it can also be stacked to create several Video screens, so when it is not being used at football matches, it can be used at outdoor / indoor events. The total cost of the project was USD$ 2 million. ProDisplay Middle East is based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and has been appointing distributors throughout the region to be able to bring these innovative solutions closer to its client base.
The Perimeter Advertising system cost USD$ 2 million, it is 245m2 long (each module is 1m high and 2.56m long) of advertising space that covers three sides of the football pitch. This system is also very unique as it is stackable when not used at football matches. You can create multiple Video screens with this system for outdoor/indoor events, etc. We foresee that this is only the beginning for the sports advertising sector, as in the Kingdom this sector was untouched, and developing this industry that has already been widely developed in Europe is a must in the region. Not only does this benefit sponsor exposure, but can also develop the attendance experience by updating systems for the 21st Century.
