Effat College is proud to announce that its Finance Director Ms. Kholood Moussa is the first Saudi woman to achieve fellowship in the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA). (SOCPA) is a professional organization that operates under the supervision of the Saudi Ministry of Commerce. Its objective is to promote and develop the accounting and auditing profession in Saudi Arabia. Since (SOCPA)’s establishment in 1991G., women were not allowed to study and obtain its fellowship. Therefore, Ms. Kholood is a pioneer in this field and her notable achievement will open new
frontiers for other Saudi women to continue in the field of accounting and auditing. Our Finance Director explained that she is planning to apply to the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry for a license to establish an accounting office and operate as the first female Certified Public Accountant in the Kingdom. Ms. Moussa outlined that she will apply the abundant experience and the knowledge that she gained while studying for the (SOCPA) fellowship in the operation of her work at Effat College. She thanked Effat College Dean Dr.Haifa Jamal Al-Lail for her continuous moral and financial support in her endeavors to obtain the fellowship. According to Ms. Moussa, “Dr.Haifa’s unremitting encouragement motivated me to achieve this accomplishment.” She also stressed, “My joy is boundless because my success will provide more career opportunities for other Saudi females in the field of accounting and auditing.”
