C-nario, an established market leader in state-of-the-art digital signage solutions, announced today that it won the DIGI Award for Excellence in Entertainment Technology for its record-breaking installation at the O2 Arena. The DIGI Awards, an annual event honoring excellence in the digital signage industry, is one of the most prestigious accolades a digital signage company can receive.
The O2 Arena is Europe’s most state-of-the-art entertainment venue, with the largest number of LED displays - more than 300 screens. The O2 is an official venue for the 2012 Olympics hosting
both the gymnastic and basketball events. The complex consists of two sprawling performance arenas, an exhibition center, leisure and dining attractions and more.
“We are very proud and pleased to receive this award, a mark of recognition for the excellence that sets our technology apart,” said Rami Bahar, Vice President of Marketing for C-nario. “The installation’s top quality playback devices, capable of supporting a wide range of resolutions, synchronized video streams and unique cylindrical displays, highlight the creativity and dynamism C-nario’s technology brings to displays at the O2.” The DIGI Awards are presented by the Digital Signage Group - the only industry award program that recognizes the outstanding resellers, dealers and integrators of digital signage. The Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), developer and operator of the O2 Arena and one of the leading sports and entertainment presenters in the world, hired C-nario to roll out and manage all of the digital displays and lighting projects supplied by Philips for the site. C-nario provided AEG with the ability to capture live HD feeds from cameras distributed to designated screens with easy uploading and design, all managed and monitored from a central operating center. C-nario also enabled playlist creation and distribution with unique DMX control of all lighting systems. “C-nario’s advanced technology helped create the high-impact, dynamic and cutting edge atmosphere the Anschutz Entertainment Group was looking for,” Bahar said. Digital displays are present in every area of the O2, including floors, viewing booths, and external tubes. Content includes advertisements, promos and announcements about ongoing events at the O2; and both real-time and scheduled live-feed TV. In addition to the O2 project, C-nario has gained worldwide recognition with top-tier partners and customers such as JCDecaux, Clear Channel, Time Warner Corporation and Philips, and has implemented global signage solutions around the world including at JFK Airport, CNN, Manpower France, McDonald's (Singapore) and Bank Hapoalim.
