CTTC will participate in four new projects founded by 7th FP of EU - The first call of the 7FP was concluded during the last July, when CTTC was founded for the realization of four new R&D projects: NEWCOM++, BONE, DaVINCI and PHYDIAS. Each one of these projects will study aspects regarding the communication systems of future generation.
PHYDIAS project proposes an innovative solution to deal with the dynamic management of radio spectrum, which will allow a more efficient usage of such a scarce natural resource. In the context of wireless networks, NEWCOM++ studies the architecture of future generation networks, with particular attention on their ubiquity, which will allow the user’s connection to Internet anywhere and anytime. On the other hand, DaVINCI project is focused on the design and implementation of efficient coding scheme able to improve the available bandwidth for data transmission.
