BioLink is about to fingerprint a powerful tax authority of India - BioLink Solutions announces the implementation phase of the project for the Department of Sales Tax of India. BioLink’s biometric solution based on its proprietary cutting-edge technologies is being integrated into the renewed IT infrastructure of the Department and over 200 BioLink scanners are being deployed to identify the Department employees. The Department of Sales Tax of India (DST) is updating its procedures, applications and IT infrastructure to facilitate implementation of Value Added Tax (VAT) which replaces sales tax structure prevalent in Delhi, intends to harmonise tax structure of various Indian states and rationalise the overall tax burden. The renewed IT infrastructure will host the custom development VAT application.
