services throughout the UK. As Applied Language is dedicated to delivering the help and expertise by providing only high quality interpreters, they are currently searching the local communities and local areas for more qualified interpreters.

Gavin Wheeldon, Applied Languages Chief Executive, explains “As the need for interpreters increases, the NHS are required to outsource their translations and interpreting services. One of the biggest concerns we have found is that the local community of interpreters lose out. In an attempt to both compete with the ever increasing demand and to build on the already active community of interpreters, we aim to employ local people and existing hospital interpreters in our current recruitment drive.”

At present, Applied Language has formed partnerships with over 60 NHS Trusts, Local and Regional Council departments and other Public Sector organisations throughout the United Kingdom. However the greatening demand for Interpreters is proving not to be the only issue.

Gavin Wheeldon continued, “The need for more diverse languages has also increased. In our efforts to continually improve our services, we’re always on the look out for new interpreters who work in new and more diverse languages.”

Applied Language is committed to using only professional interpreters and translators, of whom they have over 14,000 on their books.
