At a time when most people are retired Amarillo Slim Preston just keeps right on going. At 79 Slim still lives in Amarillo Texas where he tends to his six ranches, spread out through Texas and New Mexico, he still finds time to play and promote poker, In fact when asked about retirment he replies what would I retire from.

While he doesnt play in as many events as he used to, his last outing was at the 2008 World Series Of Poker circuit event in Council Bluffs IA where he cashed in the Omaha event and last year at the 2007 WSOP seniors event where he made it to 97th out of over

1800 players. Now Slim has embarked on the Internet opening a website amarilloslim.org in 2007 and writing an E-Book All In: An E-Guide To No Limit Texas Holdem by Amarillo Slim Preston and Brent Riley, Now Slim and Mr. Riley have opened a blog amarilloslim.spaces.live.com to coincide with the website so Slim can keep in touch with his fans. The blog will list personal appearances such as book signings and tournament appearances as well as any News pertaining to the poker legend.

Amarillo Slim Preston is a true poker legend, member of five halls of fame, winner of five WSOP bracelets, and one of the most successful and recognizable gamblers the world has ever know.
