Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) and Abu Dhabi National Hotels Compass Middle East LLC (ADNH Compass) announced today that they have signed an agreement for the provision of catering and cleaning services for the new National Exhibition Centre currently under construction in the UAE capital city. The appointment comes as finishing touches are applied to Phase 1 of the centre, which will open in February 2007.

The appointment will see ADNH Compass one of the world’s leading food service companies, providing catering,
cleaning and related services for ADNEC’s new 55,000 square metre venue. The National Exhibition Centre will feature a 2,000 square metres food court with eight outlets.

“The exhibition and conference industry in the UAE is developing rapidly. ADNEC is spearheading this growth in the UAE capital city and therefore we are delighted to work with leading companies, such as ADNH Compass, to help us achieve the highest standards of quality for our new venue,” said Simon Horgan, Chief Executive Officer, ADNEC.

ADNEC is a key player in the UAE exhibitions industry and works in association with the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) to promote Abu Dhabi as a premier business and tourism destination. When complete, ADNEC’s state-of-the-art exhibition centre will offer 55,000 square meters of interconnecting hall space, an 18,000 square metres air-conditioned concourse, an 8,000 square metres multi-purpose hall and a 2,000 square meters of food-court, making it one of the largest exhibition centres in the Middle East.
