75 years of Tamil Cinema – A Galatta gala in Singapore!

A remarkable and stupendous celebration for the completion of 75 years of Tamil Cinema has been arranged by the Nadigar Sangam, under its President Mr. R. Sarathkumar in Singapore. The one week Tamil Cinema fiesta will commence from August 2007. The wingding starts on Monday, August 6th, 2007. The grand finale will be on Saturday, August 11th, 2007. Tamil Cinema has completed 75 years!!! Yes! Believe it or not, Tamil Film Industry is 75 now. Still sprightly, still upright and still entertaining – the Industry is growing younger and younger every day and night. Thanks to its legendary heroes

and technicians. Keeping in tune with the upcoming technologies and trends in film-making, the industry has proved itself with umpteen award-winning movies, world-class technicians and ingenious maestros. Be it the base-voiced Thiyagaraja Bhagavathar or the astounding T R Mahalingam, be it our legendary MGR or chevalier Sivaji Ganesan, and be it the Super Star or the Universal Hero, who can match Tamil Cinema when it comes to star-crazy fans or fan-crazy stars? Or who can beat our industry when it comes to the likes of MS Subbulakshmi or AR Rahman? What’s more, it has a host of historic stars and gallant team of young and fresh talents.

To celebrate this successful completion of 75 years, the Nadigar Sangam has come up with a mega event orchestrated by Radaan Mediaworks India Limited and organized by Galatta.com through its newly formed subsidiary called ‘Galatta Global Events’. The plans include a grand finale on August 11th, 2007 (Saturday) at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
