PHILIPS SELECTS BLUE COAT FOR WAN OPTIMIZATION - Blue Coat® Systems (Nasdaq: BCSI), the leader in secure content and application delivery, today announced that the Philips Electronics China Group has selected Blue Coat SG appliances to provide WAN optimization for its branch and regional offices throughout China. The appliances accelerate applications, reduce bandwidth consumption and provide Web security and policy control to protect information resources and enforce company policies. Currently Blue Coat appliances are deployed at 20 Philips Electronics sites through the country.
