Manuka Honey is more effective in treating certain symptoms than even antibiotics.

The key ingredient, Manuka Honey, has been considered a remedy for many health conditions since ancient times. Manuka Honey contains non-peroxide antibacterial agents which can inhibit the growth of certain bacteria that cause slow healing wounds such as eczema and burns. Dr Peter Molan, Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Waikato, has proven the natural antibacterial properties of Active Manuka Honey during a decade of research at the university's Honey Research Unit.

In laboratory tests UMF Active Manuka honey inhibited the growth of bacteria which causes many skin infections including Staphylococcus aureus and helicobacter pylori. Recent clinical trials at Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, showed skin infections and wounds infected by "Golden staph" and other antibiotic resistant bacteria responded well to Active Manuka honey dressings. "The powerful healing qualities of Manuka Honey are virtually unknown to the general public in the United States," says Frank Buonanotte, CEO of Honeymark International. "However, Honeymark plans to raise the level of awareness of this outstanding natural resource."

Honeymark has introduced their Anti-Itch cream that is effective in treating a variety of skin irritants. It actually does more than just relieve the itching associated with such skin irritations, but FDA limitations prevent certain marketing claims from being made. Honeymark's Anti-Itch Cream is effective in providing relief for the following conditions:

Eczema, Psoriasis, Insect Bites, Poison Ivy, Poison Oak, Poison Sumac, Seborrheic Dermatitis
Rashes
