Cortex - reaches new heights and climbs the top of the world - After successfully completing the pre-expedition to the Cho Oyu (Himalaya, 8.201 m) in autumn 2006, the international scientific team Xtreme-Everest and CORTEX are now preparing for the main expedition to the Mount Everest taking place in spring. According to the agreement, CORTEX will support the Xtreme Everest Team with their expertise and metabolic exercise testing equipment. A total of 10 MetaMax 3B systems – CORTEX’s well proven and successfully sold top-quality mobile cardiopulmonary exercise testing system – are going to be used on the top of the world. Moreover, two members of CORTEX will accompany the Xtreme-Everest Team and will assure maximum scientific accuracy of all measurements.
