People Prefer Silk and Satin Lingerie
|
Press Release from:
Cami Hayes, Wicked Temptations
In a survey of over 2,000 visitors to online lingerie company WickedTemptations.com, the majority of respondents preferred satin or silk lingerie to any other style. Wicked Temptations caters to those looking for risqué or sexy lingerie, so the preference for satin and silk was somewhat surprising. It appears that even in an age of synthetics and leather fetish wear, you can’t beat good, old-fashioned silky drawers.
Although exactly 30% professed to “Love it all,” neglecting to choose one type of lingerie over another, 18% of survey takers voted for satin/silk. 13% chose
fishnet/mesh lingerie and 12% enjoy lycra, spandex or “stretch” lingerie styles. Next came lace with 10%, leather with 8% and vinyl with 6%.
Last of all were cotton and velvet, tied for a lonely 1% of votes. That seems awfully low, especially for cotton, the mainstay of women’s underwear. However, Wicked Temptations’ customers come to the website looking for items such as crotchless panties and g-string teddies, so it falls to reason they’d have a preference for the more risqué and exciting fabrics. It’s estimated that Wicked Temptations’ clientele is about 70% male and 30% female. We don’t know whether breaking these categories down by sex would change results; the percentages could potentially be radically different if women and men had voted separately. For example, do women actually prefer “feminine” fabrics such as lace to vinyl and fishnet? Further research is in order to say for sure. The fact remains, however, that a whopping 30% of survey respondents Love It All when it comes to sexy lingerie. From lacy g-strings to vinyl fetish panties and fishnet bodystockings, with lingerie it’s the thought—and the effect—that counts. For more information go to http://www.wickedtemptations.com.
