Designers Digest shows “Views from the inside – layer by layer”

Press Release from:
medicalpicture gmbh
medicalpicture® will be presenting itself in the latest edition of the professional publication Designers Digest with an impressive picture gallery. Large-format illustrations of the brain, histological profiles of organs and true images from the inside of the body demonstrate in a strikingly sensuous manner that humans can be attractive models with more than just their outer appearance.
The most recent publication of Designers Digest (Number 98) is a small work of art in itself. This is not only due to the highly aesthetic layout and the fine print quality, but to a great extent its
impressive picture gallery starting on page 43, which promises “Views from the inside – layer by layer”, or to be more exact: a glimpse into the medicalpicture® database.
Those who have read the self-portrait of medicalpicture® on its website may wonder to what extent a medical and scientific picture agency might be of interest to a professional magazine for designers. Yet a glance at the perplexingly beautiful images in the Designers Digest suffices to overcome doubts of any kind: the images of the inside of the body indeed have an aesthetic quality, which one would hardly expect as a regular mortal patient who otherwise has only seen x-rays or ultrasonic pictures. Rare treasures What amateur could imagine that the gently gleaming pink corals on page 44 could be cross-sections of the large and small intestines? And where else would one have the opportunity to submerge oneself into the web of veins in the human cerebellum? In any case, browsing through the medicalpicture® images in the current issue of Designers Digest will arouse your curiosity to explore the picture agency’s actual database. After just a few pages it will be clear that there are many more treasures to behold in the human body. medicalpicture GmbH Thomas Schmidt Vogelsanger Str. 66 D-50823 Köln Germany phone +49 221 92053 580 fax +49 221 92053 133
