BAU 2007: Akotherm develops new undertension system for conservatories

With its new static undertension system for conservatory roof structures, Akotherm has produced a valuable addition to its AT 430 conservatory system and made it possible to plan sizes in excess of the five-metre limit.

"We wanted to enable our partners to venture into building larger-scale conservatories. That's why we set ourselves the task of developing a system which makes it easy to implement such a project", is the explanation we are given in the Akotherm development department.

The new solution makes assembly simple and ensures solid system statics thanks to

assembly sets and not needing to use heavy steel inserts. Implementation is as ingenious as it is simple: the undertension is based on a tension system specially developed by Akotherm for this purpose. This produces a filigree and aesthetic effect satisfying even exacting architectonic requirements.
